I Seek You Most
I Seek You Most
Peeled back the leaves and now only frail pieces remain.
We’re tearing roots from their native soil, killed whatever life was left
She sat at her window transfixed by the sun but it only could darken her days
Where empty hearts once lay
Like fallen timbers grow once more
Where faith was already broken,
We can only hope for better once woken
Autumn came quick and gave her love
Before the cold could blue her blood.
Ch:
I wonder what is stronger because her window’s open and from down below, I promised you a home, A shelter from what you seek the most, I am but a number, but a label, I held you first, I seek you most.
Verse:
Time is but a waiting hour, all is broken when she fell,
We’re all relying on a broken promise I vow to never tell,
Hmm my darling
If you were to know the weak and the strong can’t coexist,
We’re at each other’s throats
In a show to be the most barbaric
What could they want but the truth?
It’s too easy to destroy what’s created
Needless to say I lost all power,
The day I lost the truth
Ch: I wonder what is stronger because her window’s open from down below, I promised you a home, a shelter from what you seek the most, I am but a number, a label, I held you first…..
Mid 8:
Just as you who stands alone in your unkempt grace would curse your own name as a holy place.
May I dance on my own grave and feel the grass forever dry beneath my broken feet
Ch:
I wonder what is stronger because her window’s open from down below, I promised you a home, A shelter from what you seek the most, I am but a number, a label, I held you first, I seek you most.
